We are recruiting for a Community Mental Health Nurse with the Central and East Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team
We are a welcoming and supportive team based in Speedwell at our office that we share with Central Crisis Team. We cover the inner city, central and east Bristol localities and support a diverse local population presenting with complex mental health and social care needs.
We are looking for an RMN with a passion for delivering high quality recovery focused interventions in a community setting.
We can consider applicants for both full time (37.5hrs) and part time (22.5-30hrs) positions.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will deliver specific interventions in line with the treatment pathway, including complex serviceusers.
You will deliver care that is evidence based, reflecting current best practice and research (includingNICE guidelines), demonstrating clinical excellence and high standards of professional practice toother staff.
You will be required to contribute towards the planning, implementation and review of care alongside a multi-disciplinary team.
You will have a commitment to working with service users creatively towards their identified recovery goals and to promote choice and self-management.
You will safely administration of medication via various routes including IM Long-Acting Injections. You will also monitor the side-effects of medication and service user adherence to medicationregimen.

You will need strong clinical skills in mental health assessment, safetyassessment and safety planning in-depth understanding of medication management and ability toprovide therapeutic interventions. You will be expected to operate within legislative frameworks Mental Health Act 2007, The Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Care Act 2014 and other relevant healthand social care legislation.
The post holder will deliver or advise on outstanding nursing care that reflects the values of the Nursingand Midwifery Council (NMC) Code and AWPs commitment to trauma-informed practice. Thisincludes fostering a culture of kindness, respect, and inclusion in every interaction.
Your role will involve leading on holistic assessments, collaboratively developing Personal Wellbeing Plans, and evaluating outcomes with service users, their families, and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team. You act as a keyworker for patients, coordinating all aspects of care and communication for theperson, their family members and carers, and the services that are involved. You will maintain regularcontact with the person and their family members and carers and specify this in their PersonalWellbeing plan. You will support the physical and mental health of those in your care, uphold theirhuman rights, and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment.
You will also provide guidance and supervision to junior colleagues and students, modellingcompassionate leadership and reflective practice.
