Job summary

We are looking to recruit a Psychological Therapist to the established Mental Health-Wellbeing Integrated Network Team (MINT) in South Glos. We welcome applicants with professional qualifications in Psychology, Nursing, OT or Social Work with substantial experience of delivering psychological therapies. As part of the Community Mental Health Framework, we are delivering an exciting transformation programme to support people with mental health needs to get the help they need efficiently, and close to home.

The team aims to meet the needs of service users that fall through the gap between primary and secondary care services. You will provide psychological therapies to service users as well as formulations and consultation, to multidisciplinary professionals both within the team and to partner agencies. You will have close links with the Local Psychological Therapies Service. This new and exciting role will be well supported by a range of opportunities for continue professional development, accreditation in CBT, DBT and EMDR. An interest in the application of Critical Community Psychology principles into this post will be welcomed. As a service we are commitment to address issues of structural inequalities and oppression that often create barriers in the provision of equitable care for the service user groups in the Locality.

Main duties of the job

  • Align as a 'core' member of the MINT offering formulation, assessment and treatment based on psychological models theories and practices with the communities individuals, families and communities in the South Glos. geographical area.
  • Provide psychological input into the multidisciplinary MINT and to offer consultation, supervision and teaching to professional colleagues to the applicant's level of experience.
  • To have an interest in providing a range of brief to medium term psychological interventions on an individual and or group basis.
  • To work alongside our wider networks of psychological provision within VCSE and Secondary Mental Health.
