Job summary

IT Admin Co-ordinator

An opportunity to help with the roll out to Windows 11 across the Trust.

We need someone with good organisation and communication skills to liaise with laptop users and book an appointment at their local site to receive a laptop update, throughout the duration of the roll out project.

Also to help contact sites, departments and wards to inform them ahead of time when the Device team will be onsite to updated their PCs, this will be planned by the Project Manager.

This will be based in Bath NHS House, but could be completed remotely, working closely with the Project Manager, site IT Officers and Roll out team.

Main duties of the job

To be a member of IT Operations Team assist with the roll out of Windows 11 across the Trust by arranging laptop appointments for staff and liaising with sites prior to PC roll out.

Technical Administration

  • To organise appointments for laptop updates on a number of sites across the Trust and ensure that all required system administration activities are carried out in a structured and timely manner.
  • Communicate with sites leads, managers and teams to prepare for the Device team visit during PC replacements
  • To provide excellent customer service at all times (e.g. call answering and on emails)

1. Receives requests to arrange laptop clinics on sites from the Project Manager or advice from users and other IM&T staff members.

2. Where necessary, liaises with and/or refer support requests to other IM&T staff members as well as IT department staff in other organisations.

3. Monitors the progress of requests for appointments and ensures that users and other interested parties are kept informed.

4. Ensures that systems used by the IM&T department, such as the inventory of assets and service desk call system, are kept up to date and as accurate as possible.

5. Ensures that all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.

6. Monitors all user problems and system faults identifying trends and patterns and when necessary, feeds-back information to relevant IT staff (e.g. Operations, Implementations, management etc.) regarding any recurring problems or faults being experienced.

7. Undertakes such other duties as may reasonably be required of you commensurate with your general level of responsibility and the general scope of the post, as determined by the IT Operations Manager

  • Admin qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Experience with IT equipment and Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience of analysing, interpreting, solving and explaining process issues
  • Knowledge in spreadsheet, presentation and word-processing software
  • Able to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work flexibly

  • Relevant ITIL experience
  • Experience with NHS systems and processes
  • Ability to travel to different Trust locations
