Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen of a fixed term one year contract for a Psychological Therapist to work within the dynamic team of skilled Psychological Therapists in South Bristol. This is providing cover for a member of staff on secondment. The successful applicant will be part of the Complex Psychological Interventions Service (CPI) and of the South Bristol DBT team. You will have completed specialist training in DBT in addition to having specialist skills in psychological therapy approaches and can further develop your skills and confidence in this well supported role. Your input will complement the rich and varied range of modalities represented within the team.
You will be delivering specialist psychological assessment and therapy, consultation and supportingstaff in delivering psychological interventions under supervision. The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams will be essential to developing your role as consultation, supervision and teaching to Recovery Team colleagues is an essential component. You will need to be well organised with the ability to prioritise your work according to clinical need and liaise effectively with team colleagues and professionals in other agencies.

Main duties of the job
1. The post holder will provide assessment and treatment of adults of working age and older adults based on psychological principles and techniques.
2. The post holder will be expected to provide psychological input into the multidisciplinary South Recovery and Assessment team and to offer consultation, supervision and teaching to professional colleagues to the applicant's level of experience.
3. The post holder will co-facilitate the South Bristol DBT group and attend the DBT Consultation team meeting. They may hold a DBT case.
4. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the broad range of clinical work undertaken by the team.
5. The post holder would be expected to have an interest in brief psychological interventions as well as longer term work.
6. The post holder will be expected to offer clinical supervision (individual and group) to other professionals.
