Band 6 CMHT Practitioner in the Non-Psychotic Pathway
Are you interested in working with individuals who have a variety of mental health presentations such as Anxiety , Depression , Bipolar Affective Disorder and Personality Disorders. Would you like to work in a proactive, friendly and supportive team of different disciplines. Our team brings a selection of skills and knowledge which aim to empower service users to achieve and maintain their recovery.
If you can answer yes to these questions then we want you to apply for our band 6 posts in South Wiltshire CMHT. We have redesigned our model of care based on identified pathways and we are looking for clinicians who are skilled or have an interest in training to deliver interventions to service users in the non-psychotic pathway.
THIS POST IS AVAILABLE TO ALL APPLICANTS WHO CAN DEMONSTRATE RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION (RMN, OT, Social Work).
Main duties of the job
We are a recovery focused service who work with individuals developing bespoke care plans that meet needs holistically with partner agencies. We recognise that practitioners are going to need to wide skill set to be able to do this. Taking this on board we have developed a robust supervision programme leaving staff feeling supported and informed and also looked at staff training. Skilling staff in working with complex emotional needs such as Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder we use an intervention called Structured Clinical Management (SCM) which is an evidence based approach and training on this will be provided. We can also offer opportunities for training within the DBT service in Wiltshire.
Alongside this we also offer additional in house training to all staff as well as new starters on how we can best work with service users who have a trauma background.
There are also training opportunities in order to provide care in a more psychologically informed way across all mental health conditions on both pathways.
This is an exciting opportunity for clinicians to develop skills for an identified group of individuals who are on a non-psychotic pathway.
