Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated IT Clinical Systems Manager to join our dynamic Information Technology Department.
You will be responsible for development, performance monitoring / assurance, maintenance and support of the Trust's key clinical systems. In addition, managing the systems team who support and develop the Trust's electronic patient record systems. Currently Rio, iaptus , patient engagement platform (Dr Doctor) and other clinical systems are in use. Therefore, prior experience of any of these systems would be considered highly desirable.
You will be passionate about delivering excellent services to healthcare staff and service users. Developing and managing positive relationships internally and externally. Supporting and managing projects will also feature as part of the role and you will be the system expert on various transformation projects, both for on-boarding new or enhancing existing systems. Being organised, planning and managing resources and stakeholders effectively and the ability to apply experience of business and systems analysis and team management skills will be essential.
Main duties of the job
Team Manager for systems team, providing expert guidance and a mentor to team members managing team workload and provision of an efficient and effective support and development service meeting SLA's.
Monitor operational systems and interfaces for faults, performance and stability issues, fixing problems where needed within agreed SLAs.
Effective management of third-party suppliers.
Specialist technical lead to provide expertise in installing, testing, configuring, upgrading, documenting and maintaining both externally and internally supplied clinical systems needed to support systems lifecycle management and the Trust's IT programme.
Responsible for the investigation, review, planning and specification of all systems including update to existing or introduction of new IT Systems.
Ensure that all software released follows the agreed Change Control process.
Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning, ensuring that they are up to date from an application perspective and provide support if invoked.
Ensure applications are compliant with the Data Protection Act and Information Governance toolkit, in conjunction with the application Information Asset Owner and gather evidence to complete the Data Security and Protection (DSP) Toolkit.
Being organised, planning and managing resources and stakeholders effectively. The ability to apply experience of business and systems analysis, project and team management skills will be essential.
