Main duties of the job
In Swindon, our service provision covers Acute and Rehab in-patient wards as well as Community Recovery Team and we have Band 6 posts focussed in both areas while being grounded within the OT team. The opportunities to work within different settings will broaden your mental health experience and specialist skills, and add to your professional work satisfaction as we strive towards an effective continuity of care between the relevant services.
You will need to be a versatile practitioner who is committed to delivering an outstanding service. You will be reflective, articulate and an excellent team worker. In a fast moving multidisciplinary setting, you will use a wide range of therapeutic interventions to meet service user's needs and we are particularly keen to attract someone who is confident in delivering interventions with a focus on recovery and optimum levels of functioning, and who demonstrates skills in leadership, supervision and service development.
Main duties :
To deliver OT process with reference to the relevant guidelines and legislations and with application to up to date and evidence based practice.
To work as an autonomous professional
To develop, facilitate and monitor individual as well as group intervention programme
To work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team
To delegate and supervise junior OT staff members
To support the service provision in accordance to local OT Mission Statement goals.
