This innovative model of mental health services brings together statutory and voluntary sector providers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative suitably qualified Psychological Practitioner (Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, Adult Psychotherapist, Arts Psychotherapist or CBT Therapist) to join our team of specialist Psychological Therapists working within the Bristol Complex Psychological Interventions Service.

This post will be based in the North Bristol Assessment and Recovery Team (The Greenway Centre). This is a vibrant and busy Recovery Team where the opportunity to develop and evaluate 1:1 and group services to a rich array of secondary mental health presentations is the core of the post. The successful applicant would join a well - established, multi-disciplinary team of CPI staff working in North Bristol.

The post holder will be supervised by a member of the North CPI team. Psychological input into the Assessment and Recovery teams is well established and highly valued by team management, senior management and team members.

Main duties of the job

You will provide specialist assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation, alongside staff training, supervision, consultation, advice and support to the teams they are working within. It will be important for applicants to be aware of the latest evidence-based interventions and be able to evidence outcomes.

We are looking for applicants with a particular interest in working with people with a broad range of complex and enduring mental health difficulties across the life span including older adults who are treated within the 'ageless' service.

The Complex Psychological Interventions Team (CPI), is part of Bristol Mental Health. CPI offers a range of activities to support psychologically informed care within the secondary mental health service. The CPI also offers additional support, through supervision and training, to a variety of partner organisations.

CPI is comprised of clinicians from different backgrounds. This includes Clinical Psychologists, Arts Psychotherapists, Adult Psychotherapists and Medical Psychotherapists, who offer a wide range of therapeutic interventions, such as CBT, DBT, MBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, Arts psychotherapy, family and systemic therapy and EMDR. Staff are located in a central hub (at Callington Road Hospital), as well as at community mental health team bases. CPI provide a range of services both direct to clients, and supportive functions to staff teams that are designed to enhance the interventions delivered by team.
