Job summary
Lime ward offers evidence informed care and support to men during the acute phase of their mental health. Lime is a dynamic, energetic and fluid environment catering to the specific personal needs of a wide variety of presentations and personalities.
As a Band 6 you will be expected to; co-ordinate shifts, attend ward rounds & CPA's, Clinical leadership, Quality Improvement projects, acting up into the band 7 role in the Absence of a band 7. Rule model and leadership.
You will work closely with our service users, their careers, and other interested agencies to co-develop person centred plans supporting their recovery both during their admission and after their discharge.
We are keen for you to develop within your role. You will receive training and supervision, develop close links with multiagency services throughout Bristol, and will be encouraged to take a lead on specialisms within the ward and continued professional and academic development.

Main duties of the job
To provide clear clinical leadership to Staff Nurses and Mental Health Assistants working on the ward. Ensure the continuity of care for service users and full implementation of Trust policies.
To supervise Band 5 staff and below in developing, implementing and assessing individual programmes of care. An integral part of the role is to undertake appraisals, clinical supervision and teaching. Responsible for specific "management duties" within the ward, which are commensurate with their grade, you will be expected to provide general management in the absence of the Ward Manager.
