Job summary
This would be a good role for someone with previous experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties who wants to develop their experience of working in a community CAMHS team. The post holder would be required to :
Hold their own caseload and be responsible for delivering short-term evidence based interventions from assessment to treatment and through to discharge
To offer high standard of clinical risk assessment and treatment when working with all young people and their families/careers
To liaise with relevant agencies in the delivery of care for children young people and their families/ careers.
To provide evidence based interventions
To work within a multi disciplinary team working alongside a range of professionals, consultant psychiatrist, family therapist psychologists, psychotherapist, nurse and allied health professionals.

Main duties of the job
To contribute to the triage in the front door triaging and rag rating referrals.
To provide assessment and treatment to children and young people and their families under the age of 18.
To be highly skilled in clinical risk assessment and management in relation to children and young people including experience of managing self-injurious behaviour.
To be able to implement risk management and safety plans collaboratively.
To ensure high quality provision of Child & Adolescent mental health assessment and treatment plans.
To be able to offer evidence based interventions to children, young people and families according to NICE guidance and local pathways of care.
Holding and managing a caseload and using resources creatively to provide excellent interventions for children, young people and families; uniquely tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of service users.
To maintain care record, ensuring both paper and electronic records are kept up to date in accordance with professional and organisational standards.

The North Somerset CAMHS/LD team is a busy thriving CAMHS team that is passionate about delivering highly effective and accessible services to the young people and families of North Somerset.The team is a well established multi disciplinary team offering evidence based interventions. The team are a diverse team and are committed to staff development and staff well being with excellent supervision and CPD opportunities. We offer established specialist clinics such as family therapy, CBT, psychotherapy , specialist eating disorder clinics and assessment clinics alongside staff working autonomously holding there own caseload.
