Job summary
If you are looking for your next challenge in a senior HR role, this could be the position for you. Reporting to the Deputy Director for People, you will manage the Trustwide HR Business Partner function and a small team of HR specialists providing HR advice and support to our Corporate Services.
This position is offered on a full-time basis, hybrid or flexible working will be available and the option to job share is available if required.
Main duties of the job
As an experienced Business Partner, you will work closely with the Deputy Director for People. You will also have exposure to the Executive Team and other senior staff as you provide leadership to the HR team and manage the HR Business Partner function. Working strategically, with a solution focused and creative approach you will support the delivery of the people plan, manage HR related subject access and freedom of information requests. You will be data savvy, know your way around a spreadsheet and be able to produce HR information and reporting to help inform the AWP workforce report and Divisional reports. In addition you will manage a small team of people providing HR support to Corporate Services including Bank and Estates and Facilities.
Experience of the NHS including ESR and other NHS systems would be an advantage but not essential, as training will be given.

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for the delivery of high-quality workforce/HR support services, supporting the delivery of the AWP People Strategy, and best practice people management within their areas of responsibility, and across the People Directorate. This includes:
- Leadership to the HR Team including the HR Business Partners and their teams and supporting the development of the HRBPs, Deputy HRBPs, Senior HR Advisors, HR Advisors and Case Investigators to provide a professional, high quality, proactive and effective HR service, ensuring the on-going professional and personal development of the whole HR team.
- Leading the provision of an effective HR Business Partnering Service throughout AWP, that is, to all Divisions, Corporate Directorates and to the AWP Bank and Estates & Facilities Management (EFM) teams.
- Supporting the Deputy Director of People to ensure effective budget management of all teams reporting into the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, including taking responsibility for delegated budgets.
- Developing and contributing to delivery of the workforce plans which aligned with the AWP People Strategy.
- Developing and contributing to delivery of the Management Development and Learning and Development Plans, which support Divisional and AWP-wide business objectives and are aligned with the AWP People Strategy.
- Developing and demonstrable contribution to delivery of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Health & Well-Being Plans, which support Divisional and AWP-wide business objectives and are aligned with the AWP People Strategy.
