Job summary
NHSE have commissioned AWP to work with a number of partners in collaboration across the South West to develop and deliver psychologically informed programs and interventions using trauma informed approaches to help service users who are experiencing harms from gambling and are seeking help through third sector partners or GPs.
We are looking to appoint a Service Manager to be responsible for the management of the delivery of Gambling Harms services in the South West
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the management of the delivery of Gambling Harms services in the South West. To manage and deliver community services within an integrated care pathway model, to an agreed set of aims and objectives which are defined, delivered and monitored through an integrated governance approach. To work in close collaboration with a range of partners services to ensure seamless delivery of care across the pathway of services. The post holder will have an understanding of addictive behaviours or direct experience of working within the gambling arena and supporting and managing a multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities
- To take management and leadership responsibility for the operational delivery of services within the designated service area.
- To manage the capacity of the service using established tools and techniques including entry and exit criteria, and highlight underlying issues to the Portfolio Manager and Clinical Lead.
- To work closely with other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of the pathway of services within the South West area, addressing waiting lists and access by working collaboratively to find solutions which improve patient flow and experience.
- To represent the Trust professionally and positively at all times, with staff, local partners, service users and carers.
- To contribute to the Integrated Business Plan for the Area and Local Delivery Unit (LDU) as part of the LDU delivery strategy and the Trusts overarching Integrated Business Plan.

Essential
- Relevant education to degree level or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Formal management qualification at post-graduate diploma level or can demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
- Significant experience of managing health and/or social care staff and services.
Desirable
- A professional qualification in either Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work

- Experience of working with people with mental health problems.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary, multi-agency working and of representing an organisation on multi-agency groups.
- Experience of service development and evaluation work.
