Job summary
We are delighted to invite an application for a Child Psychotherapy training post to be based in one of the Bristol CAMHS teams.Health Education England has confirmed funding for a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Traineeship in Bristol . The funding can extend to six years to include both a pre-clinical training course (recognised by the Association of Child Psychotherapists, ACP) and subsequent 4 years of clinical training at an ACP accredited training school. Applications are invited from candidates who as a minimum, have been accepted onto a pre-clinical training beginning September 2021. They will already be working with children and young people in a professional capacity and will have an interest in and some understanding of Psychoanalytical thinking. The funding covers course fees for the pre-clinical training and fees for personal Psychoanalysis in the second year of the pre-clinical training. This will need to be with an ACP approved Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist.

Main duties of the job
Following successful completion of the pre-clinical two year M7 course the candidate will take up a post in South Gloucestershire locality CAMHS team for 4 years clinical placement.
They will be involved in the core work of the locality CAMHS team alongside undertaking their psychotherapy training cases
