Job summary
We are looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Nurse to join our team at HMP Eastwood Park in South Gloucestershire.
Our medicines management services are expanding and we need an enthusiastic registered technician to join the team.
Main duties of the job
Our wing-based technicians will be responsible for administering and supplying medicines to patients, delivering pharmacy triage, drop-in clinics and supporting prescription pathways. You will be part of an integrated health service in a challenging environment where you can help empower a vulnerable population to self-care and understand their medicines better.
The successful applicant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate administration of medicines and prescription pathways.

Key responsibilities within this role include: Safely administering medicine; Supervising and supporting the whole system of medicines administration; Ensuring that the management of all medicines, including controlled drugs, is in accordance with organisational policy; Supporting pharmacist-led clinics by identifying patients suitable for medicines-use reviews.

Strong pharmaceutical skills; An ability to work on your own and as part of a multi-disciplinary team; A recognition of the value of strong team work; A flexibility to work in a shift pattern that will involve evenings, weekends and nights as identified; Registered Pharmacy Technician (GPhC)
