Job summary

This is a unique opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic clinician to be part of a small specialist clinical team providing a targeted and effective service for people experiencing trauma and loss relating to pregnancy and childbirth.

You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, being able to work independently, in a specialist team and to effectively liaise closely with the local maternity units in St Michaels and Southmead Hospital.

The job will require remote working as well as coming into clinical areas for meetings with colleagues and some clinical appointments.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate would be required to provide specialist assessment and trauma focussed psychological therapy when appropriate to women experiencing psychological difficulties relating to pregnancy and childbirth. Also to provide specialist assessment and signposting for fathers and partners who may also be experiencing psychological difficulties relating to pregnancy and childbirth.

The job also requires the clinician to liaise closely with our midwife colleagues and provide teaching and supervision when needed.
