Job summary

AWP BSW (Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire) are pleased to invite applications for the post of Service Manager for Access to Urgent Care Out of Hours services.

The post forms part of a drive to enhance the mental health service provided to people in need of Urgent Care in the out of hours period. The post holder will provide service leadership for the mental health team within Medvivo the local provider of NHS 111 response services

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have a key role in developing this service internally and externally.

Key interfaces internally include Intensive Teams, Police Control Room Triage and Acute Hospital Liaison teams. Externally with Medvivo, South West Ambulance Service and Local Authority Social Work Teams.

The post provides a rare career opportunity to have a key role in developing a new service to positively impact on the multi-agency urgent care system.

The post is for full time hours - 37.5 hours per week and will include 0.4 weekend/out of hours.
