Job summary
We are looking to recruit a driven and passionate mental health nurse to work in a unique environment with highly skilled and supportive team who has patient's best interest at heart.
Bluebell is a centralized Health based Place of Safety Service at Green Lane Hospital in Devizes, Wiltshire. We are based in a purpose built unit, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our unit facilitates Section 136/135 of MHA admissions and assessments including a dedicated CAMHS suite. You will have an opportunity to develop and grow into a confident, autonomous professional with refined skills and values.
This post is suited to those who, have completed their preceptorship, and feel they would like a new and exciting challenge. However, nurses working through their preceptorship will also be considered. If of interest there will also be opportunities to work and gain experience across the different wards and teams on Green Lane Hospital site.
We are happy to consider a Preceptorship nurse on condition that the first three months of preceptorship will be completed on an acute ward based in Green Lane hospital.

Main duties of the job
It is essential that you have a good understanding about the importance of good inter-agency working and the wider multi-disciplinary Team. For Bluebell specifically, we have good working relationships with the Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) Team, CAMHS, CMHT, IS, Control Room Triage, Police and Emergency Departments.
We pride ourselves on our person centred approach and providing a more positive experience for the detained person, going through mental health crisis. It is important that you have a good understanding of nursing processes in particular Safeguarding and risk assessment. Knowledge of the legal framework used within Place of Safety is desirable and as a registered practitioner, you will know how to work within your professional boundaries.
For all new members of the team you will benefit from a comprehensive training package designed to support the development of highly specialized and skilled Place of Safety practitioners.
