Job summary

This is an exciting band 5 nurse role within the Bristol Specialist Drugs and Alcohol Service. The post holder will passionate about supporting service users on their recovery journey. The post holder will be an integrated part of BSDAS supporting our community detox clinic, 1:1 keyworking and support our very popular groupwork package which is currently based on the MOAT (Moving On After Trauma) programme.

BSDAS is a commissioned partner of Bristol ROADS. The post holder will work closely with our partner agencies within ROADS including Bristol Drugs Project (BDP), Developing Health and Independence (DHI) and Addiction Recovery Agency (ARA).

Main duties of the job

Provide a defined drug and alcohol service to an allocated caseload of service users, having responsibility for the assessment of needs, the planning and implementation of treatment and care to meet those needs as agreed with multidisciplinary team and/or supervisor, co-ordinating care (with supervision) for particular clients, and contributing to the evaluation of care across a variety of settings where specialist treatment is available.

Liaise as appropriate with other members of the multidisciplinary team and other agencies involved in the care of individual service users.
