Job summary

Looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to develop yourself professionally? We are looking for a highly motivated, qualified clinical psychologist to join our unique, multi-disciplinary team. As member of our team, you will help us to provide specialist health support for people who have a learning disability, as well as autism diagnostic assessments for people who do not have a learning disability.

You will provide specialist clinical psychology assessment, formulation and treatment for people with LD and autism diagnostic assessments. You will also supervise a full time psychology assistant and trainees on placement.

You will be confident in your practice, with experience in the field of learning disability health and/or autism diagnosis. You will be passionate about the health of people with learning disabilities and/or autism and committed to working as part of a highly motivated, compassionate clinical team.

The Team operates during office hours and is based in Swindon, a large town with a diverse population. Our base is in the Old Town Area, however equipment is provided to support flexibility and working from home.

You will have monthly clinical and monthly management supervision, as well as excellent training and annual appraisal.

Main duties of the job

The main duties are to hold a caseload of people who have a learning disability health need and those seeking an autism diagnostic assessment.

Alongside this, you will support the team with formulation, consultation and reflective practice.

You will provide specialist clinical psychology consultation, training, formulation and supervision to the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).

You will participate fully in the development of the service as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, to include involvement in clinical activity (audit and evaluation of the service, outcome evaluation and governance).
