Job description
Job responsibilities
Please see attached Job description for further information.
Other Duties
The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description for the post. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to posts may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibilities entailed. Such variations are a common occurrence and would not of themselves justify the re-evaluation of a post. In cases, however, where a permanent and substantial change in the duties and responsibilities of a post occurs, consistent with a higher level of responsibility, then the post would be eligible for re-evaluation.
Communications and Working Relationships
- Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
- Visitors
- Carers and family
- Staff from other areas and Trusts
- Partnership Organisations
- Care Plan Approach (CPA) Co-ordinators
Most challenging part of this role
The most challenging aspects of this role will be the complex patient population and working towards keeping them safe and progressing with recovery, whilst maintaining appropriate boundaries and working within scope of practice. Eating Disorders patients will frequently be rigid in their thinking and will attempt to manipulate their care to facilitate the anorexic cognitions and often struggle to engage in a therapeutic relationship. Managing severely underweight patients with anorexia nervosa that are at risk of refeeding syndrome whilst in an Acute setting will require collaborative liaison work with the acute trusts
