Workforce Forecasting and Planning Analyst
Band 5 -£27,055 - £32,934 37.5 hours
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), based at Ambulance Headquarters, as a Workforce Forecasting and Planning Analyst on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will play an integral role in the development and maintenance of a statistical forecast model alongside the Trusts WFM system to achieve optimal results / forecast accuracy. This is vital in ensuring that we have the adequate resources to meet the significant demands of the c.1.6 million calls we handle annually across NHS111, 999 and Patient Transport Services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing insights on actual performance vs forecast, working closely with colleagues within the workforce planning team, using this analysis to build recommendations around future performance.
Duties include:
Extract, collate, analyse, interpret and communicate complex data on service performance, quality issues and resource usage.
Working with colleagues within the workforce planning team to ensure appropriate staffing levels with the correct skills and quality are in place to meet patient demand in the Contact Centre.
Working with Contact Centre leadership, managers, and colleagues to ensure continued awareness of key planning principles in the Operations centre including the creation of supporting procedures.
Analyse and interpret historic and other trend information to create robust call volume, Average Handling Time (AHT) and shrinkage forecasting.
Forecast changes in demand/staffing levels and predict the impact on performance using specialist and industry standard techniques
