Job summary

Salary : Band 8a £50,952 - £57,349

To be accountable to the Assistant Director of People Development and deputise where appropriate.

The post holder will hold a HCPC/NMC or other clinical registration.

They will be bring their expertise as a clinical practitioner and also their experience as an education delivery manager to develop and lead on education and development. You will ensure delivery of People objectives for the Trust for education through developing and delivering high quality, evidence based, innovative education and training methods and packages as part of leading the education centre for excellence.

Main duties of the job

They will be responsible for overseeing, and carrying out the pastoral, supervisory and educational welfare of students on programme. With the Strategic Head of Education be responsible for the development and delivery of education packages both pre and post graduate, as well as assessing and ensuring that all marking of portfolios of work as part of BSc and apprenticeship programmes is completed, standardised and timely.

To manage, all of the day to day activities across all education streams including commercial, driver training, core and apprenticeships. This will require the leadership and management of a range of workforce services for the Trust including the Education, Learning and Development Team, comprising of Clinical and Non-Clinical Training, Driver Training, Work based learning, apprenticeship and Commercial Training.

Essential

  • HCPC registered Paramedic or NMC registered nurse. Educated to masters level (level 7) in relevant subject or equivalent relevant experience. Leadership qualification or significant senior manager experience. PGCE/Cert Ed/relevant teaching qualification (level 6)
  • Evidence or recent significant CPD. Enhanced CARe module / clinical skills or equivalent (level 6 minimum). Associate Lecturer status with relevant HEI's. CAVA assessing qualification (or working towards). Accredited mentor qualification. Safeguarding adults and children level 3

Desirable
