Job summary

Reporting to the Informatics Manager, the Information Analysis Manager will lead on the delivery of technically competent, high quality and timely performance analysis to meet an evolving Trust information agenda. Develop the Trust's business intelligence portal to ensure staff have the information needed to understand their core business, providing specialist support to enable operational and strategic decision making.

Main duties of the job

To lead on the delivery of technically competent, high quality and timely performance analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, to meet an evolving Trust information agenda. Develop the Trust's business intelligence portal to ensure staff have the information needed to understand their core business, providing specialist support to enable operational and strategic decision making.

Responsible for maintenance and development of systems to ensure robust monitoring of performance and forecast against plan and lead in establishing specific information requirements and outputs to support and influence service improvement.

Work with system owners to ensure that information systems are developed and implemented to record and monitor data to aid completion of reporting against local & national targets and contracts. Work with leads to achieve optimum data quality to ensure the Trust has robust information for informing key decision making and performance monitoring.

  • Evidence of continued professional development .Postgraduate qualification or significant, relevant, work based experience of Information System Development or Management within a large corporate or NHS environment.
  • Highly numerate, computer literate and practiced in statistical analysis. Being able to interpret information, analyse and present information according to need; and use for comparison, planning, monitoring and improvement. Knowledge of the Data Protection Act, FOI Act, GDPR, Information Governance.
  • A sound practical knowledge of the latest Microsoft BI toolset.

Desirable

  • Specialist MS SQL skills and extensive experience of system development using the .NET framework and web technologies alongside VBA programming skills and knowledge of Data Warehousing and OLAP.Capable of providing specialist training and assistance on a group or individual basis to users of SQL
