Job summary
The North East Ambulance Service has a vacancy for a Developer to further develop the Trusts business intelligence and Power Platform solutions.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in data warehousing, Power Platform such as PowerApps, Power Automate and PowerBi; assist with the design, construction, delivery, and support of new and existing processes with guidance from the manager and senior colleagues.
The ideal candidate will have experience with data warehouse-based data or database design and be comfortable with modern development techniques such as agile and CI/CD, as well as have excellent web development skills on both the client and server.
Parts of the job may also require providing support to software developers to develop and maintain in house software, so experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and traditional client / server application using ASP.NET / MVC would also be beneficial.
This role allows for development to be tailored depending on trust needs, you will mainly provide support for the Data Warehouse but will have exposure to various areas the Informatics Department covers.

Main duties of the job
The right applicant will assist in developing and implementing all Trust software both web enabled and fat client for both internal and external users. They will also assist in developing and implementing Trust wide service simulation software, allowing ad-hoc and standard reporting of the results of theoretical models.
If successful you will assist in the design and development of software, underlying data structures and data extraction and the subsequent delivery of bespoke systems; as well as providing advice on the most suitable software tools and technologies for designing, developing and testing systems, taking account of functional and non-functional requirements.
You will assist in the development of new systems, ensuring that the user requirements are fully understood, and the resulting systems meet their requirements outlined with specifications anddocument all work in relation to the development of new systems or data requirements in terms of specifications, the maintenance and support of existing systems. This must including all coding principles within agreed design guidelines in the various languages.
The post holder will be committed to continuing professional development with excellent communication skills, and will be adept at developing working relationships with colleagues within the Trust and other organisations that are productive in terms of supporting and delivering your work and that of the overall organisation.
