Job summary

The Informatics Department support a wide range of internal and external stakeholders by providing expertise in data analytics and business intelligence. The post holder will be a key member of the Informatics Department delivering effective data quality for the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS).

Main duties of the job

To proactively engage with information asset owners and administrators across our service lines to support improvements in how NEAS manages its data. The post holder will ensure that NEAS has reliable and consistent data sets to provide the insights that will drive change for the Trust.

To ensure the Trust can use high quality information to achieve its business objectives and enable the maintenance of effective service provision and to facilitate service development.

To provide data analysis, interpretation, and data quality monitoring throughout the Trust, in particular working with colleagues to facilitate new ways of working through process re-design and introduction of new systems to improve data quality.

Paramedic skills have developed hugely in recent years, meaning we carry out more treatment at the scene and en-route to hospital.

We have a specialised branch of the Trust called HART which deal with explosions or terrorist attacks.
