Senior Early Years Practitioner

Job summary

To work as part of the Nursery staff as a senior member of the team. To provide high-quality, stimulating childcare and early education for children of NHS staff, enabling parents to return to work and thereby supporting the Trust's Improving Working Lives initiative.

Main duties of the job

To provide a safe, stimulating environment to encourage children to learn through play and reach their full potential and encouraging other staff to do this.

To ensure the Ofsted requirements are being met and all other nursery and NBT

policies are being adhered to.

To work closely with parents, especially those of their key children to ensure good

relationships are maintained and all relevant information is shared between both

parties.

To work as a senior member of the staffing team, usually in charge of either the pre-school room or the under 3's as a whole. Therefore working in one of these areas but being flexible about helping out in other areas and in the event of an emergency, working at another location within NBT

To be able to give guidance, support and advice to all less-qualified staff and students - ensuring all staff and students are working professionally and that their working practices are to a high standard, as set by Ofsted.
