Senior Physiotherapist in Pelvic Health Outpatients

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Pelvic Health Outpatient Physiotherapy team at North Bristol NHS Trust. Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is a growing and much needed speciality. We are very excited to be working as part of a national project to improve perinatal pelvic health services. We are looking for an excellent team player who is flexible, dynamic and open to change, to join our friendly and forward-thinking team.

Main duties of the job

The post will involve the management of patients with obstetric, uro-gynaecological, urological and colorectal dysfunction. The successful applicant will work within the specialist pelvic health physiotherapy team, across North Bristol NHS sites and alongside the MDT. The role may involve travelling to deliver ante-natal classes in the community. The post holder will be required to work autonomously without direct senior supervision, managing their own caseload independently.

As a Band 6, the post-holder will take wider responsibilities within the team on a day-to-day basis. There is an expectation that post-holder will initiate and conduct audit or other clinical governance exercises. Active participation in supervision, training programmes and mentoring of support staff is also expected.

We are a large acute trust with outpatient specialties including MSK, Hydrotherapy, Rheumatology, Pelvic Health, Neurology and Paediatrics.
