Working predominantly on your feet across the Southmead Site and at our offsite warehouse, you will be part of a team managing the receipt, movement and replenishment of a wide range of hospital consumables:o Ordering and management of linen stock in all areas managed by the Linen serviceo Processing uniform orders for all Trust new starterso Accurate put away or stock audits of stock in areas managed by the Materials Management Teamo Loading and dispatching of the Automated Guided vehicles (AGV)o Receipting and delivering of goods in both the R&D department, and the warehouseo Working in a supportive capacity within the Logistics
Applicants must be computer literate, with a decent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as email will be frequently relied upon. We are a customer focused team, therefore good communication skills are required, as well as a strong team ethic.

Job responsibilities
To support service level agreements, and other formal agreements / contracts, with both internal and external customers. Ensuring that correct and safe methods of work are employed at all times with extra care shown to the safety of patients, staff and visitors Communicate clearly with patient support team colleagues, supervisors, managers, ward staff, visitors and patients Ensure that wards and departments receive supplies of clean linen / uniforms. Sort and prepare linen received from the laundry and check the quality prior to despatch To remove and report to the linen services manager unserviceable linen from circulation Responsible for delivery and collection of linen as laid down in delivery schedule Ensure allocated PDA is kept charged and always kept in a secure manner either in person or in the secure area designated Input Data on allocated PDA, and export information to the trusts contractor Ensure stock levels on shelves are stored in a tidy manner Ensure daily stock rotation on ward / departmental trollies Liaise with Nursing staff in relation to levels of stock, especially at weekend periods Ensure the correct levels are delivered, as stated on the delivery ticket, any shortfalls are to be reported to the linen serves manager Ensure departments receive adequate supplies of linen bags Ensure that departments/wards receive the correct items of linen Decant the linen / uniforms onto shelves and store the empty cage in the designated area Transfer linen from roll cages onto ward linen trolleys Process Return to Sender items in line with laid down procedures Tracking roll cages in line with local policy using barcoding technology Responsible for the collection of items from individual wards and departments as and when specified by the Linen Services Manager, in a safe, efficient, effective and professional manner Loading AGV roll cage, ensuring the cage has the correct AGV transponder cards Ensure that all AGV transponder cards are returned to R&D and are stored in the agreed manner Transportation of roll cages, waste bins / carts in and around level 0 Checking allocated equipment prior to use and ensure all faults are reported to the patient support team leaders as they develop Ensuring allocated equipment is thoroughly cleaned after use Carrying out cleaning in accordance with laid down schedules and procedures Consider health and safety implications involved in duties and their potential effect on others Ensuring that safety instructions are complied with when using equipment Report any accidents/dangerous occurrences to the patient support team leaders /manager and participate in the completion of necessary accident form paperwork Completion of timesheets and work logs /schedules or other attendance system as required Carry out duties in accordance with the Departmental Health & Safety Policy, the Health & Safety at Work Act and the Departmental Written Systems of Work
