This is a great opportunity to join the growing and dynamic stroke team at North Bristol NHS Trust, and we are seeking a Junior Clinical Fellow to start with us in December 2025. This post is fixed-term for 4 months.
We have a great team of junior doctor trainees, Physician Associates, and Advanced Nurse Practitioners who work alongside the multidisciplinary team of therapists in delivering excellent stroke care.
The Stroke Department at Southmead Hospital is a major part of the Regional Neurosciences Centre. It provides all in-patient specialist stroke services including:
- 24hr acute thrombolysis
- Hyperacute and acute stroke care
- 24/7 Thrombectomy service
Main duties of the job
This role will involve working on the Hyperacute Stroke Unit, the Acute Stroke Unit and supporting the senior team in acute bleep holding. Participation in the Neurosciences out of hours on call rota will be required (overnight and weekends).
