Main duties of the job
As a Bank ODP, your responsibilities will include :
- Participate in all aspects of clinical operating department work
- Provide a high standard of patient care and safety in accordance with the North Bristol NHS Trust philosophy and objectives, policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure duties are carried out in accordance with the advisory guidelines and practice set out in the HCPC/ NMC code of conduct.
- Deputise for the Team Leader when required/experience allows.
- Being responsible for assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of patient care
- Take responsibility for the supervision and guidance of other staff including healthcare support workers and students, as required.
Applicants must:
- Be a qualified ODP with current license to practice or a Registered Nurse with a recognised post graduate anaesthetic qualification
- Minimum of 15 months post new qualification experience. (3 months preceptorship and then 12 months acute experience)
- Have recent acute hospital experience within the last 18-24 months
- Have a drive to work hard, enthusiasm and the ability to commit to a 4-day induction programme if successful
- Have right to work in UK (with relevant Adaptation/ONP if applicable)
- Have the ability to commence work within 3 months of offer
