Job summary

We need a Senior Project Manager as part of a dynamic specialist team to deliver the adoption of clinical transformation and change to improve outcomes for patients andenable successful delivery of the ambitions of the Long-Term Plan for Cancer. The role will manage the smooth and effective delivery of projects across early and faster diagnosis, treatment variation and personalised care.

You will need to have extensive experience of successful delivery of complex strategic healthcare projects working in partnership across organisational boundaries and to achieve results through others who may not be direct reports.

Main duties of the job

o Managing the smooth and effective delivery of projects across early and faster diagnosis, treatment variation and personalised care.

o Managing project delivery, including the development of all project documentation and reporting.

o Working with and through Cancer Alliance to effect service transformations to enhance SWAG Cancer Alliance patient experience and outcomes.

o Working closely with partner programmes and organisations, to ensure their priorities and deliverables are aligned to the Cancer Alliance's objectives.

o Engaging extensively with stakeholders to ensure they are part of the design and delivery of cancer transformation projects.

Somerset, Wiltshire,Avon and Gloucestershire Cancer Alliance (SWAG CA) constituent ICBs are Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG); Somerset; Gloucestershire; Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW).

SWAG CA is hosted by North Bristol NHS Trust for the purposes of formal employment and the provision of back-office support to the Cancer Alliance.

The post holder is hybrid working with a minimum of 40% office based within the SWAG CA geography.

The post holder will be required to travel across the South West.

Responsible for preparation of project plans, progress reports, complex papers, as directed by the Programme Manager.

Communicate information, risks, issues and dependencies, including briefings and reports to teams, sponsors and a range of internal and external staff.

The post holder is in regular contact by telephone, letter, and email, or at meetings with organisations. Communication may be verbal, electronic, written or by attending and contributing to meetings and/or giving presentations.
