Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Partner to join one of the UK's largest NHS Trusts, based in Bristol.

As the strategic divisional People Partner in the Core Clinical Services Division, you will work as a key member of the senior management team to identify and deliver the people implications of strategic business and transformation plans and strategically lead priorities for people activity, in line with Trust values and behaviours.

You will play a key role in the delivery of workforce solutions, interventions and actions and will work collaboratively with leaders from within the division and wider Trust. Providing expert Human Resources leadership, you will be partnering and coaching senior leaders to effectively transform services and enable the delivery of exceptional clinical services.

About us

You will provide senior HR support to the Core Clinical Services Division which encompasses : Pathology, Imaging, Endoscopy, Pharmacy, Centralised Outpatients, Clinical Equipment Services and Therapies.

The Division provides services to the local population of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, as well as regional national and international services.

Education, Training and Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
  • CIPD qualified and Chartered Member of the CIPD.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development as an HR Practitioner.

Desirable

  • Further education qualification in human resource management or business management related studies.

Work Experience

Essential

  • Significant operational human resources experience with experience of developing the workforce aspects of operational business plans.
  • Experience of developing and implementing HR policies, covering organismal development, including supporting / completing management investigations, grievances, discipline, appeals, performance management, capability, and organisational change. (redundancy).
  • Evidence of leading the workforce elements of key organisational change programmes and devising solutions that ensure consistency.
  • Experience of advising managers on complex change processes including reorganisation, redundancy, and service transfers.
  • Experience of working in partnership with Trade Unions, towards shared goals, with evidence of achieving organisational outcomes.
  • Experience of preparing and presenting cases at internal or external appeals / employment tribunals.
  • Experience in promoting the equality and diversity agenda and ability to evidence achievements in relation to organisational equality and diversity objectives.

  • Experience in applying a business partnering approach and working with managers to develop services, applying human resource expertise to provide solutions to complex problems.
