Job summary

This is a really exciting time to work for an official NHS charity at Southmead Hospital. You will be joining an ambitious and successful team with exciting plans to impact more patients and increase support for our staff across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will support the Charity's fundraising team, leading the charity's corporate fundraising, as well as supporting the Philanthropy and Partnerships team to develop the individual and mid-level donor programmes and legacy stewardship.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of all areas of fundraising, but we are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience in corporate fundraising or business development roles. With an outgoing and tenacious personality, you'll have the ability to identify influential contacts both internally and externally, spot opportunities and deliver mutually beneficial partnerships for the Charity and our funding partners.

Working closely with the data, marketing and communications, impact and senior management teams you'll help to ensure the Charity delivers a proactive and donor-centric supporter journey, using data insight to drive acquisition and first-class donor stewardship to deliver sustainable income. The role works collaboratively with other members of the fundraising team to maximise income for the charity, working to acquire new partnerships, diversify and upgrade giving behaviour and deepen supporter relationships for long-term value.

Job responsibilities

General:

Be the first point of contact for regular givers/legacy enquirers and corporate partners. Respond to enquiries promptly and in a professional manner including responding to emails and telephone queries, providing all the highest level of supporter care.

Continually research, cultivate and develop strong relationships within this fundraising income stream and lead best practice in database management.

To meet agreed financial targets and KPIs across existing income streams.

Working closely with the Data Insight Officer, provide colleagues with detailed updates on the Charitys income and data collection through regular reports.

Ensure that all cash handling, banking, donor acknowledgement and receipts are kept in accordance with charity best practice.

Keep up to date on all new governance regulations issued by the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator and Information Commissioners Office.

Maintain and develop key relationships with stakeholders individuals and organisations.

Support and deliver the activity within the staff engagement programme so that NBT staff become proactively and enthusiastically involved in the charity.

Analyse performance/trends, implement remedial/developmental actions and provide reports to senior leadership team.

Achieve and report on financial targets, objectives and KPIs. Utilise data insight to drive decision making and improve performance and return on investment.

Fundraising:

Support the delivery of a corporate fundraising strategy that drives growth and significantly increases corporate income through both securing new partnerships and providing exceptional account management.

Support the Philanthropy and Partnerships team to manage and develop the Charitys individual giving and mid-level donor programmes.

Provide administrative support to the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager across all large fundraising streams.

Ensure all legacy enquiries and pledges are acknowledged appropriately and stewarded.

Support and develop our regular giving programme.

Deliver a mid-value programme working closely with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager on donor uplift strategies.

Conduct prospect research for our corporate, trust and major donor programmes.

Write detailed case for supports and proposals to encourage mid-value gifts from our current donor pool and new prospects.

Plan, organise and develop cultivation events to lift the Charitys profile with P&P supporters.

Analyse and segment existing donors to deliver appropriate, quality personalised tiered stewardship which deepens relationships and increases loyalty and value.

Work collaboratively with the charity team and NBT colleagues to develop in-depth knowledge of services/projects and gain access to quality information/data to strengthen proposals and report our impact.

Utilise the database to maintain accurate information and drive activity.

Analysis and evaluation of data to facilitate continuous improvement of performance.

Work with colleagues to identify prospects via our supporting our grateful patients and community fundraising activities.

Proactively support the activity of the legacy fundraising programme.
