Do you want to be part of an exciting, innovative ward at Southmead Hospital - An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse for a fixed term. You will work as a Supervisory Ward Sister on EEU 1 working alongside the Sister on EEU 2 in the Elgar Enablement Unit. You will be joining the wider medicine division team. EEU provides care for a total of up to 86 patients in a transitional care setting with a specialty of enablement and promoting independence.

We are looking for a dynamic leader with transferable experience as a Registered Nurse to join the nursing leadership within the multi disciplinary team.
You will be responsible for promoting a high standard of evidence-based nursing care and multi-disciplinary work. You will be expected to adopt a team approach to problem-solving; therefore, excellent communication, management, and organizational skills are essential.
A strong approach to team working is vital for this role, and you must be a highly motivated, forward-thinking professional who can demonstrate the ability to lead and support staff in a proactive and effective way. Working closely with the Clinical Matron, Directorate Senior Management and Allied Health Professionals, you will be expected to play a key role in the management and strategic development of the ward.
The successful applicant must also be able to demonstrate substantial experience at a senior level, usually gained at Band 6, working in a medical ward setting. Evidence of professional development is essential to the post.
