Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic, busy and friendly team in Stroke. The Stroke Audit role provides essential support to the Stroke team. The main ficus of this role is in extracting and interpreting data from paitients note and inputting that information into The Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP). This allows the team to measure performance against national benchmarks and enable them to improve specific areas. This role also involves interpreting clinical notes and inputting them in an accurate and timely manner.
The ideal candidate will be able to work well independently, with excellent communication skills tobe able to engage and build strong relationships with both Clinical and Clerical colleagues ranging in seniority.
We are looking for an individual who pays meticulous attention to detail with great organisational skills.
The successful candidate should have good IT skills, as the ability to accurately maintain computerised records on our systems and spreadsheets is essential.
Main duties of the job
- Data input for SSNAP - The Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme
- Acting with discretion and dealing with complex and sensitive enquiries
- Provide administrative support for meetings, taking accurate minutes, preparing and circulating agendas and booking meeting rooms
- Be able to problem solve or pass on issues
- Be able to plan, manage and execute own workload efficiently without supervision
- To undertake any other duties as directed commensurate with the post grade
- Adhere to the trusts annual, sick and study leave policies

North Bristol NHS Trust is a comprehensive Stroke Centre providing acute stroke services for the population of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG), along with regional provision including Mechanical Thrombectomy to the wider Severn Region and beyond.
The multi-disciplinary team is comprised of a wide range of staff from Consultants, Registrars, Junior Doctors, Physician Associates, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Therapists, Ward Staff and Support Managers.

- Arranging and minuting meetings: ensuring that rooms are booked, invites are sent and that the meeting is minuted accurately.
- Admin support for the Stroke Advanced Nurse Practitioners: Managing annual leave and study request, adding the rota.
- SSNAP data extraction and presentation upon demand: Collating this information and adding it documentation for monthly governance meetings.
- Intranet Administrator: Updating the stroke intranet site when requested, adding, and removing documents and checking that existing informality is up to date.
- Cover TIA clinic coordinator: During periods of annual leave for the TIA coordinator you will be required to cover our TIA clinic. This involves calling patients, booking them in and liaising with the consultant for the day.
- Other Directorate duties as required commensurate with banding.
