Job summary
Are you an experienced band 6 looking for a new challenge, or an experienced band 5 nurse with surgical experience looking to gain more experience and progression within Gynaecology and Women's Health?Cotswold ward at North Bristol Trust is looking for a compassionate and dynamic registered nurse who has an interest in Women's health and Gynaecology.Cotswold ward is a 19 bedded unit, 10 bedded day case unit with two operating theatres running busy lists Monday to Friday. The ward specailsies in a variety of Gynaecology procedures and conditions. Including early pregnancy complications. Such as ectopic pregnancy, hyperemesis, miscarriages and termination of pregnancy.We support the trust in times of escalation and increase to 24 inpatients bed which may be occupied by a variety of specialties including obstetrics, medicine and/ or surgery.We are proud to be able to offer our patients a full outpatient and inpatient gynaecology service with special emphasis on one stop outpatient service. and tertiary skills in sub fertility, urogynaecology, endometriosis and minimal access surgery.This is an exciting opportunity as our department is ever growing and developing.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have a passion for Gynaecology and surgical care. They will provide a high standard of care an act as a senior nurse who can provide leadership and act as a role model.They also need to have evidence of student mentorship.The successful candidate will have a passion for nursing excellence and patient safety. They will also provide pastoral care to their designated team where they will support the Supervisory Sister in appraisals, HR related situations and sickness absences.
