This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional individual to join an exciting, multi-professional team to develop and teach Team Leader Apprenticeships & ILM programmes to groups of apprentices from across North Bristol NHS Trust.
As Apprenticeship Programme Lead you will be a key member of the Non-Clinical Apprenticeship Team within the Non-Medical Education, Learning & Development Department.
You will be responsible for
- Leading on curriculum design and delivery of the ILM Leadership & Team Skills Qualifications.
- Alongside the Non-Clinical Apprenticeship Programme Manager and your colleagues in the non-clinical apprenticeship team; design and deliver the Non-Clinical Apprenticeship Programmes.
- Hold a caseload of learners throughout their learning journey from initial assessment, enrolment, on programme learning delivery and achievement/certification.
- Assisting the Non-Clinical Apprenticeship Programme Manager & Apprenticeship Quality Manager to monitor the quality of the curriculum and implement the quality improvement cycle.
- Working collaboratively and co-operatively with the Centre and Programme Managers to ensure they are involved & kept up to date on learner progress and issues as they arise.
- Any other duties that are reasonable in line with supporting the wider learning and development department with ensuring quality, compliance and ongoing improvement of learning programmes provided by North Bristol NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job

- A relevant qualification or Degree Qualification or equivalent experience in Leadership and Management
- Vocational Assessor Award A1, D32/33 or FLAP
- Evidence of recent CPD in teaching, training, and subject
- Level 2 (GCSE A*-C) Functional Skills in math & English or equivalent (or willingness to achieve within first three months of employment)
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification or willingness to undertake
- Confidence in working with IT based products and systems including eportfolios & managed learning environments.
- Evidence of continuing professional/personal growth, development within own area of occupational competence.
- Evidence of Occupational Competence in

- Plan assessment requirements and methods with
- Work with apprentices in the classroom to observe and assess practice against required learning outcomes and standards.
- Ensure all documentation is completed to the required standards of Apprenticeship or Awarding Body.
- Provide support where required to other members of the team needing to complete documentation as part of the apprentices journey.
- Identify apprentices who are failing to meet targets and initiate action plan with SMART targets to address any issues which may affect timely completion of Apprenticeship.
- Provide regular updates on apprentices progress to line
Report any concerns to line manager identifying those issues that may be outside their level of competence.
Administration
- Record assessment on e-portfolio system
- Manage and maintain learner e-portfolio accounts of the apprentices
- Effectively utilise resources within departmental budgetary requirements
- Ensure that correct procedures are followed in the event of an incident or accident involving patients, staff or visitors.
- Participate in ward/department
- Participate in the induction and orientation of newly appointed staff, apprentices and other visitors to the ward/dept.
