Senior Healthcare Support Worker - Vascular Access Service

Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and motivated Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join the Vascular Access Service team.

In this role you will be involved in the day-to-day delivery of the service whilst working closely with the Vascular Access Practitioners. The role is varied, being both clinical and administrative.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join an expanding service whilst continuing to learn and develop new skills and knowledge.

*Please note, this position is being offered as a 6 month fixed-term contract or secondment only. This advert may close early if we receive a large number of applications.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist the vascular access practitioner in the placement of various lines across the trust
  • Undertake pre and post procedural tasks
  • Stock management
  • Administrative tasks
  • Line care - dressing the line and flushing (once training)
  • Liaise with patients
  • Liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Assist with data collection and audits
