The Imaging and Endoscopy Departments at North Bristol Trust are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to lead on the Quality agenda and lead the departments on their journey towards achieving and maintaining their relevant accreditation.
Accreditation will form part of the Departments Quality and Governance strategy with the aim of establishing and promoting a quality culture where imaging and endoscopy services, management and operations are working collaboratively to ensure the delivery of high quality pre-examination, examination, reporting and post-examination processes as well as ongoing evaluation and continual improvements.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a key member of the Imaging and Endoscopy senior management team and will be accountable for quality and accreditation of the Imaging and Endoscopy departments. They will manage and embed the accreditation processes, as well as carry out the required management and leadership tasks to support these processes, in order to achieve and retain accreditation.
The Imaging and Endoscopy Quality Manager will be accountable for the delivery of relevant governance and performance priorities, working closely with clinical teams to ensure that services are safe, responsive, effective and represent good value for money.
The emphasis for this post will be on working closely with clinical teams and managers to provide effective leadership and delivery of quality management, in order to meet quality related objectives and requirements.
The post holder will provide specialist advice and professional leadership relating to Imaging and Endoscopy quality management system to the senior management teams. They will represent Imaging and Endoscopy on quality management issues and participate as required in departmental audits, investigations, and quality improvement initiatives.

- Have responsibility for the Imaging and Endoscopy Departments quality accreditation programmes.
- Represent NBT at the West of England Imaging Network on all quality related work streams.
- Be a key member of the Imaging and Endoscopy teams in terms of overall service development and strategic planning.
- Lead the NBT non-medical referrer application and monitoring process in line with IRMER legislation.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services in line with the Trust's organisational objectives.
- Establish sound performance management arrangements for the delivery and sustainability of accreditation.
- Deputise for Head of Imaging and Endoscopy as required
- Develop a detailed understanding of the requirements and timescales of the Quality Standard for Imaging Scheme (QSI) and Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (JAG) accreditation.
- Co-ordinate the responses to QSI, ensuring that all evidence uploaded to the QSI web-based assessment is relevant, up-to-date, and fully meets the QSI criteria.
- Co-ordinate the responses to JAG in order to secure on-going accreditation, ensuring that we continually improve the quality and safety of care provided, maintain a strong focus on ensuring patients have a positive experience and provide excellent training and development opportunities for staff.
