Clinical Fellow in Vaccinology/Infection Sciences (Full Time or Part Time).
The Infectious Disease and Microbiology research team in Bristol is seeking an ST1-5 level doctor to join our vaccine trial team as a clinical research fellow.
Vaccine research teams in Bristol have supported the delivery of clinical trials of COVID19 vaccines that have subsequently been approved for use. Trials are delivered between North Bristol Trust (NBT), University Hospital Bristol and Weston (UHBW) and other hospitals in the West of England region with the support of the local Clinical Research Network. This work has now expanded supporting other commercial and academic studies.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing research group in a vibrant city, based in the Research and Learning Centre at the new Southmead Hospital (run by NBT) and working in partnership with colleagues at the Bristol Royal Infirmary (run by UHBW) in the city centre. The post-holder will be responsible for the day to day management of trials, including research governance, review of study participants and recruitment. In addition, post holders with the appropriate experience may have the opportunity to develop an independent research project to develop alongside the ongoing studies.
