Job summary

We are looking for a Manager for our library and knowledge services team at North Bristol NHS Trust. The perfect candidate will be committed to promoting and enabling the use of best available evidence to support decision-making, clinical governance, education, research, continuous professional development, and life-long learning. Candidates should have a Masters degree and experience of working in the knowledge services sector. The role is based at Southmead Hospital, with flexibility for some home working. The role leads a brilliant team of professional and paraprofessional library and knowledge specialists.

Main duties of the job

1. Provide strategic and professional leadership in the development of Library and Knowledge Services for NBT and Stakeholder Organisations to meet their knowledge and information needs.

2. Define and develop the LKS strategy to reflect and support local and national strategic objectives.

3. Develop and promote a culture of knowledge mobilisation within NBT, to enable greater use and uptake of both internally and externally generated information.
