Job description

Job responsibilities

The Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism Collaborative Programme has also been successful with their expression of interest to NHSE to establish a framework for integrated care for vulnerable children and young people who have complex needs.

The Framework of Integrated Care will be delivered by a newly established CYP Trauma Informed Care Alliance.

This role will also have a lead role in working with the programmes core team in facilitating the development of an integrated trauma informed system across clinical and non-clinical services that work to support children and young people (CYP).

A key objective of this work will be to reduce the number of CYP who have experienced trauma who are known to be involved in offending behaviour, youth justice services, police and anti-social behaviour teams, liaison & diversion, or require custody due to criminal activity through a multi-agency trauma informed response.

The framework represents a shift in ideology, moving away from approaches that seek to fix what is wrong with you to approaches that seek to understand and address what has happened to you. The intention is to support and strengthen existing community services, enabling collaboration within and across those agencies at place and across the ICS.
