Job summary
To work inside the Neuro-children and young peoples Front Door Team within the new Core Needs Project supporting secondary schools in Hull and East Riding.
The post holder will work to professional and regulatory body codes, standards and guidance at all times ensuring that their practice is grounded in evidence based theoretical and practical knowledge.
Main duties of the job
To practice autonomously without direct supervision.
To utilise specialist clinical skills to complete neurodevelopmental assessments (ADHD and/or Autism), support diagnostic decision making and feedback to young people and their families.
To recognise the need for, initiate and where appropriate interpret relevant diagnostic investigations.
To recognise the need for and initiate where appropriate advice of relevant specialisms.
To liaise closely with other members of the MDT to ensure a detailed and complete diagnostic assessment is completed in line with NICE guidance.
Be responsible for ensuring clinical outcome data is appropriately collated and routinely recorded to the Trust and professional clinical regulatory body standards.
To employ excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to promote multi-disciplinary and inter-agency liaison and collaborative practice to broad range of audiences, including other professionals and external assessment providers.
To continuously evaluate the clinical effectiveness of the service by use of evidence-based practice and outcome measures and participate in the development of the service.
To maintain knowledge of current research and clinical developments and to participate in research/audit within service.
