Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Trust as an Executive Director of People and Organisational Development. We are seeking an experienced People leader with a strong track record of workforce strategy, cultural transformation, and organisational development in a complex, highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working at, or close to, Board level, ideally within the NHS or another regulated industry, with a passion for advancing Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and modernising the people agenda to support a large, dispersed workforce.
The role requires a strategic thinker and compassionate leader who can influence at Board level while holding colleagues accountable for performance in a pressurised environment. Strong stakeholder engagement skills will be essential in working collaboratively across healthcare systems and with national NHS bodies.

Main duties of the job
You will be pivotal in supporting us to address the unique internal staffing challenges facing the Trust at the moment, but will recognise this also provides us with an opportunity to make a real difference in how we attract, retain and develop a modern workforce to provide the best possible care to patients. A key priority is improving the health and wellbeing of our staff while ensuring that our patients remain at the heart of everything we do.
As a key member of the Board, the Executive Director will provide visible and inspirational strategies for professional leadership at Board level and throughout the organisation.
Shortlisted candidates will need to be available to attend online stakeholder panels on Wednesday 23 July and in-person interviews on Thursday 24 July.
