Job summary
Are you an experienced band 6 or an existing Band 6 RNLD/RMN with a passion for working with children and young people and have a creative flair?
This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nurse with a strong passion for supporting individuals with possible learning difficulties/disability and or neurodiversity alongside mental health challenges to work in a busy CORE CAMHS service, using a combination of clinical care and creative therapeutic interventions to promote independence, enhance communication and improve overall mental well being through a variety of creative approaches.
Main duties of the job
Carrying out thorough assessments for young people that are referred to core camhs, potentially with some extra needs alongside mental health difficulties. Develop and review care plans, with a focus on integrating a creative approach to support emotional wellbeing.
Utilise creative interventions alongside nursing interventions to enhance communication, social engagement and emotional expression. Tailoring therapy activities to individual needs and capabilities to ensure that therapeutic goals are met.
Collaborative working with other agencies inside and outside of the trust contributing to multidisciplinary assessments and reviews.
Safeguard the wellbeing of the young person by assessing risk and implementing safety plans, following safeguarding protocols and reporting concerns according to local safeguarding procedures.
