Job summary
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust invites all current 3rd year Mental Health and Learning Disability student nurses due to qualify in September 2025 to apply for our pre-registration nurse positions for a number of positions within our trust.
This exciting opportunity will allow successful applicants to be employed as a band 4 upon completion of your academic course. Upon receipt of your NMC registration number you will transition to a band 5 registered nurse.
All newly qualified practitioners are enrolled into our multi-disciplinary Preceptorship Academy which has recently received national recognition and awarded National Preceptorship framework for Nursing Interim Quality Mark in 2023. The aims of the preceptorship programme are to aid the transition from student to qualified practitioner, enhancing skills and increasing confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking proactive, highly motivated and forward-thinking individuals who are able to adapt to changing situations and environments. Being able to work well within a team and have excellent communication. You will be expected to be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the service overall. This is an ideal opportunity to develop a wide range of skills in one setting.
We are keen to support your development throughout your nursing career and you will have access to a range of training courses. You will be supported within your role though a personalised induction period which supports both your development and wellbeing.
The team is comprised of medical staff including consultant psychiatrist / doctors and junior doctors and trainees, Nursing staff both registered and non-registered,Specialist Occupational Therapist and therapy team including activity coordinators.
