Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit 0.6 whole time equivalent Band 4 Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to our well established Speech and Language Therapy team which provides a service across Hull and East Riding. This post is for anyone interested in working with children and young people who are working with the Hull Youth Justice Service.

Main duties of the job

  • To support the SLT in delivery of high level, quality care and evidence based interventions in line with local and national guidance in the identified clinical area.
  • To support SLT intervention in both autonomous and multidisciplinary working.
  • To plan, provide and evaluate interventions within a framework laid down by the SLT in group and individual settings.
  • To participate in the delivery of service specific training as required
  • To supervise/support identified support workers
  • To undertake administrative duties as required.
  • To manage a caseload, including self directed planning and time management.
