Job summary
We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Administration Assistant in our Board Support Team. The team support the Chair, Chief Executive, Trust Board and Council of Governors and the Apprentice role would suit someone with previous experience of working in an administration role. Tasks would include dealing with day to day duties, diary management, taking action notes and providing some administration support to the Head of Corporate Affairs.

You will undertake a Level 2 Business Administration qualification working closely with the team to gain the essential skills, knowledge and behaviours for this new role.
The duration of this apprenticeship will be 18 months and on successful completion you will progress into a Band 3 role.
This apprenticeship covers the main roles within the department and is structured to allow the apprentice to gain as wide a breadth of knowledge and skills as possible. As the Board Support Unit team also provides support to Executive Directors there will be an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills within these areas.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role will include:
- To provide assistance to the team, using your skills to provide support to the team and ultimately Board members
- to offer an efficient, helpful and friendly point of contact whilst promoting a professional approach to the handling of the day to day business
- to provide administrative support to the Head of Corporate Affairs and and the Board Support Unit team resolving day-to-day problems independently
