We take the health and wellbeing of our employees very seriously. You will be responsible for the leadership and management of the OH team in the delivery of a service that meets the needs of all the Trust's employees and a number of external organisations, achieving a number of performance and financial targets.
The multi-disciplinary department is committed to achieving and sustaining high quality services and has been fully SEQOHS accredited since 2019. The department consists of Occupational Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, a Back Care Advisor and Technicians, which is supported by an administration team.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will have up to date knowledge of best evidence-based practice in Occupational Health and wellbeing and legal requirements. You will also require effective Leadership and Organisational skills.
The Head of Occupational Health will provide dynamic leadership to the OH team and be a source of expert advice and support to the Trust on all matters pertaining to the Health & Wellbeing of the staff.
The post-holder will have responsibility for the operational planning, development and provision of high quality, specialised occupational health services to the Trust. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day management of the service, the post-holder will work autonomously and exercise professional and individual responsibility for the systematic governance of occupational health practice within the Trust, working collaboratively with colleagues in the Workforce and OD division.
There will be an expectation that the post holder will utilize analytical skills to develop and inform the provision of services and act as an ambassador for the Trust at all times.
