Are you an experienced Band 5 or an existing Band 6 RMN/RNLD with a passion for promoting recovery?
Pine View are looking to recruit a Band 6 Specialist Nurse to join an established Multi-Disciplinary Team. Pine View is a 20 bedded low secure mental illness ward which offers service users intensive, high quality, person-centered interventions utilising a trauma informed model/approach.
The candidate will be expected to provide senior leadership and supervision to junior staff across the service and would therefore benefit from having a high level of clinical knowledge and experience of offering evidence-based, value recovery-focused interventions that facilitate recovery.
There is also an expectation to provide leadership across the full inpatient secure services, acting in the duty manager role which is a 24 hour role so will include shift patterns of Long days and nights inclusive of weekend and bank holiday working.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role include:
- To support the Ward Manager in providing clinical and professional leadership to nurses within own area of responsibility.
- To support the Ward Manager and other colleagues with the implementation of policy, protocol, service/practice development and change within own area of responsibility
- To continue to demonstrate specialist clinical skills in practice and provide support/advice re service development and the delivery of care, in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers and other agencies.
- To deputise as appropriate
